Fuengirola, originally a small fishing village, is one of the most popular holiday destinations and also one of the biggest towns on the Costa del Sol. It is a great place to be, because it is a lively town all year long and has a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops. The beaches in Fuengirola stretches for almost 8 km and has a quaint port. You can enjoy the tapas at plaza Chinorros or eat at the one of the best fish restaurants in Andalusia, Los Marinos de Jose. There is also the possibility to go shopping at the Miramar shopping centre or walk to the Castle of Sohail, where they organize festivals and many other activities during the summer months. Fuengirola is also the last stop of the train, that is directly connected to Malaga Airport and it is only a 20 minute drive by car to Malaga Airport.
